From Reactive to Regulated: How the Safe and Sound Protocol Helped My Dog Nessi Heal
Some dogs enter your life quietly.
Others arrive like a storm.
Nessi was both.
I offer the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) — a listening therapy that helps your nervous system move out of fight, flight or freeze, so calm, connection and clarity become more accessible in everyday life.
I’m a certified SSP provider, trained Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Core Process Psychotherapist and breathwork facilitator, based in Bath, Somerset, and working online worldwide.
Perhaps you’re struggling with:
These experiences are part of being human. Healing begins when we create space to sit with them — to allow, feel, and meet emotions with compassion and awareness, rather than pushing them away.
The SSP is a five-hour listening programme, delivered through an app, using specially filtered music to send your nervous system cues of safety. Over time, this can ease anxiety, improve sleep, support emotional regulation, and make it easier to connect with the people around you.
I pace your SSP journey session by session. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I titrate the protocol to what your nervous system can integrate at each stage — never more than you’re ready for, never rushed.
I’m a Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapist, a qualified Breathwork facilitator, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and a certified Safe and Sound Provider.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative — working with the body, breath and nervous system alongside the mind, so healing has room to happen at the pace it needs to.
